Where the links come from

Every office name and link in the lists is USAGov’s, copied by a program from its page for each place on October 7, 2026, except the 16 that say they are ours. We wrote the row labels and chose which rows to show.
We left out governors (names go out of date), agriculture departments and prosecutors. Each list ends with a link to USAGov’s full page.
USAGov lists 59 places: the 50 states, the District of Columbia, five U.S. territories, and three island nations in free association with the United States. Some have fewer offices listed than others.
On October 10, 2026 a program opened all 607 different links on this page: 571 opened; 28 refused the program or did not answer (many government sites block automated visitors, and may open fine for you); 7 did not open and 1 went to a different page than its name says. Those 8 carry a note. The program only saw that a page opened, not what it says.
16 links on this page are ours, not USAGov’s. That same day, 16 of USAGov’s links that would be shown here did not open or went to a different page. For each one we looked for the same office’s page on the office’s own website, in a real browser, and used only an address the browser read there and opened: never a guessed one. Each says it is ours and prints USAGov’s address as text. For 8 more we found nothing we could read and open: those are still USAGov’s, with a note. USAGov was read again on October 10, 2026, and its lists were the same.

What this page can’t do
